

City of Columbiana 33rd Annual Liberty Day June 28 & 29th
Liberty Day was named in honor of the Statue of Liberty, which was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States, and is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated in New York Harbor on October 28, 1886 and after extensive restoration was rededicated on July 4, 1986. In 1986 a group of patriotic citizens organized to sponsor Columbiana’s first Liberty Day to honor
