Sidewalk Film Festival August 19-25th 2019

Sidewalk is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging filmmaking in Alabama and building audiences for independent film.

With Birmingham being known now as a city for movie making we certainly welcome independent filmmaking. Since 1999, filmmakers across the country have come to Birmingham to screen their work at Sidewalk. It showcases more than 250 filmmakers and welcome over 15,000 film lovers annually. Films are seen in some of Birmingham’s best facilities such as, Lyric Theatre, Alabama Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre and much more. Fans and newcomers are always excited to support new independent cinema!
